Suppose you love fashion or maybe you’re all about the latest and greatest kitchen gadgets. These are both great opportunities for affiliate marketing. However, if your current blog, website or social platform (if you have any of these) might not be the best fit. Try your hand at a pay-per click campaign, all you need is an account, a landing page and a small budget to get started!
The drawback is that it’s slow at first, it could take 2-3+ months to see your first sale if that is your main traffic source. It’s also tedious in the sense that it requires a lot of effort link building, especially if you’re trying to rank for highly competitive keywords. For an in-depth SEO blueprint, check out our how to rank in Google guide for beginners.
Like reselling web hosting and domain names, you can sell almost anything by collaborating with manufacturers that offer dropshipping, which involves shipping the product to customers on your behalf. In a dropshipping business, you collect the order on your website and then instruct the manufacturer to ship the product to your customer. The manufacturer gets paid its price and you keep the remainder.
At the age of 21, I decided to start my own dating coaching business called Lifestyle Transformations. I had two friends that were my partners in it and we ran this company for 4-5 years in Vancouver. We started by offering 1-on-1 coaching and then eventually hosted our own seminars and workshops. Our business model was to offer free seminars in our city, have up to 20-30 people attend, offer massive value to them for free, and then up-sell them on one of our 3-day bootcamps.
First off, I’m a blogger so it seems wrong not to mention it, but more importantly, it’s a legitimate way to make money. It’s quite possibly the least straight-forward way on this list, but it’s very doable and it’s also quite possibly the funnest way on this list. I love blogging and I know hundreds of bloggers who feel the same. So let’s talk about making money blogging and what it really means.
Of course, most content that ends up on the Internet doesn’t pass through the hands of a paid freelancer, but there are plenty of ways for you to make money with editing and design skills. Companies like Skillcrush, for example, might hire a freelancer to create blog images like the ones you see here, or a new company might hire a freelancer to create images around a marketing campaign.
I don’t try to sell too much. All you need to do is to drive value and give good information to the buyer. Put yourself in the shoes of the buyer and address their fears and questions. Don’t beat around the bush and don’t try to waste their time and at the end, try showing some sort of proof or results. If you own the product, show what’s inside and talk about your experience with it. This will help you to build a relationship with them quickly.
If you enjoy taking pictures, creating illustrations, producing video, or producing audio, some sites will pay you for the rights to sell your work to its visitors. One of the biggest online services is iStockphoto, which gives you up to a 45% royalty rate for every picture or work of art they sell. Other sites included Depositphotos, Dreamstime, Fotolia, and Shutterstock.
Clickbank, huh… now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while! I remember messing around with them back in 2011 when I was a newbie. Never did make any money with them, haha, but I’ve seen plenty of people who have! I’ve just never been any good at pushing the weight loss stuff, which I’m pretty sure is where most people make their money with Clickbank.
Whether it’s a sport, a craft, travel, coding, hula-hooping, haiku, whatever it is; you can trade your experience for cash. Any victory or victories you’ve had can be converted into a tutorial-based business. There’s money in motivating and mentoring people who— like you did at one point— want to get started but don’t know how. All you need is the right tools, the right techniques, and the willingness to get started.
–>Sometimes it can be easier to sell someone else’s stuff instead of your own. Sales is a skill, so a way to sharpen your skill set in the beginning can be to try and market and sell for someone else. It feels less personal and scary because you don’t have to sell you, and affiliate or partners will often have tips and tricks to help you learn how to sell their stuff.
Just like to add 1 additional “CON” to the list of Pros and Cons of Clickbank. Their rule on paying out the commissions earned. You must have 5 sales all from different credit card accounts before they will pay you what you have earned. That flat out sucks!. Affiliates work hard to get even 1 sale and because of Clickbanks rule, lose that money over time if they cannot get another 4 sales, the commission keeps reducing steadily if 4 more sales are not forthcoming. Clickbank has got to change that rule, which many feel is illegal!. A sale, is a sale, and the commission must be paid out. Basically, Clickbank is “Ripping-Off” affiliate marketers.
This is why you can make some great money online doing product reviews for companies. No, this doesn't mean doing fake reviews or lying. It's exactly the opposite. You can sign up for Facebook groups, go on sites like Upwork (where clients will post jobs for freelancers such as reviewers), or just reach out to companies directly to find out about these opportunities.
I've learned so much with this course! KC Tan is an excellent instructor. He covers all the bases. Also, his facebook group and email list have both been a great value for me. I've made money using this method, and I'm hoping to start making even more by learning list building details in another of his courses that I just started. So glad I came across his courses.
Once you get an audience, companies will reach out wanting to work with you (or you can reach out to them) in the form of a sponsorship. Another, more indirect revenue stream, is you can create products, like online courses, to sell to your audience, which for me, has been far more lucrative than any income I’ve made from paid ads or sponsorships.”
I don’t know whether it’s just me or if perhaps everyone else encountering issues with your site. It appears as if some of the written text on your posts are running off the screen. Can somebody else please comment and let me know if this is happening to them as well? This might be a issue with my browser because I’ve had this happen previously. I appreciate it.
If you have ever visited document sharing websites such as Script Mafia, you must have seen how people offer you free downloads and others queue up with alternative download mirrors. Every time someone downloads using your link from file sharing websites such as Ziddu, Uploading and ShareCash.org (it claims to pay average $0.60 per download), you get paid.
There's always people that prefer to work with someone 1-on-1 and require that personalized attention and feedback to get to where they want to go. Some people don't just want to “read the manual”, but want someone to SHOW THEM HOW TO DO IT and guide them every step of the way. They want accountability. They want access to someone that can answer their questions and give them that feedback that can make a huge difference in their lives. This is the fastest way for anyone to achieve results and to get to where they want to go.
If you really wanted to make the list even more exhaustive, you could also discuss the various biological money-making methods (e.g., sperm donation, egg donation, etc.) and/or go into the more technical (e.g., hosting websites on one’s own server, building computers for others, etc.). Also, you could potentially explore those well-known money-making ventures, such as trading on the stock market, which are seemingly difficult to enter into by their apparent complexity by listing various online instructional tools which assist novices looking to get involved in them (e.g., Investopedia’s online simulator to prepare for buying/selling stocks). Sometimes those methods of making money which appear to be the most difficult are, in fact, relatively simple once you understand the underlying conceptual framework – many people just don’t realize this.
